Will Curt C35FR Work on Foreign Vehicles Only

Question:

Does this part work on a Ford or only on foreign vehicles? Hi, Just wondering if this will work on a 2021 F-150. My trailer has led lights and I keep getting a light module fault error.

According to my contact at Curt, they have heard of the issue you describe and have received comments from customers experiencing the same problem who used a standard # 78118 adapter which worked fine. They haven't tested the # C35FR so they didn't have any input on that.

The # C35FR will work on any vehicle that has bulb-out sensors which are featured on many European vehicles. The adapter uses an inline resistor that draws a bit more power which fools the bulb-out sensor.
