Question:
I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport and occasionally 2-3 times /year tow an 18 ft car hauler which would be near the Tacos towing capacity. With 90 of my driving is with an unloaded bed, should I go with the Sumos or Timbrens?

Helpful Expert Reply:
I recommend the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TTORTUN4 over the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-612-47 for your 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. The Timbrens have a much higher weight capacity at 6,000lbs versus the SumoSprings at 1,000lbs. This will give you a better ride level and stabilization when you are towing your car hauler.
A Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET may be a better option if you only need the suspension enhancement when you are towing. This will also give you a sway control when you are using the trailer, making it safer when you drive in windy conditions.

I just got the timbrens for the rear of my tacoma and im debating which brand to go with on the front. 2018 trd pro with eibach springs in front and icon rxt leaf packs rear. I carry 600lbs with camper shell, rack, tent, awning, shower, bedslide, fridge, etc. I also tow a 16' box trailer which is went I went with timbren in the rear. What would you recommend?
