On some Nissan vehicles there is an additional relay needed in the in-cab fuse panel to make it fully functional. Consult the vehicle owners manual to find the locations of all fuses and relays associated with tow package wiring. It is also possible that, even if all the relays and fuses are in place, that one of them is bad and will need to be replaced. If there is a missing relay then it can be replaced with a blue relay from # C57000.
If it is the lights on the trailer that are not coming on, you will want to use a circuit tester like # PTW2979 and test the 4-Way on the vehicle to determine if the running light pin has power. If it does then the issue is on the trailer, not the vehicle, and is most likely a bad ground. Check the grounds at the lights and main trailer connector to make sure they are all attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces.
