Digital odometers only work when the vehicle is on and power is running to the odometer. Since you'll have to remove the negative battery cable to flat tow your 2021 Chevy Silverado there will be no power running to the odometer for it to account for any miles traveled.

If you're needing the equipment to flat tow your 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 I have the following recommendations for you:

Base Plates: # RM-523199-5. These base plates are a confirmed fit and will has brackets that are further back to create a more clean look.

Tow Bar: # RM-676. This tow bar has an 8,000lbs weight capacity so you'll be able to load up your vehicle and with extra stuff and safely haul it all.

Tow Bar Wiring: # RM-152-1676-7.

Braking System: # HM39530. This braking system comes with a battery charger which will be very important since you'll be using the vehicle's battery but won't have the alternator running to charge it. This tow bar is also non-binding so removing the arms from your vehicle on un-level ground will be super easy.

Safety Cables: The # RM-676 tow bar I recommended comes with safety cables so you won't have to purchase any separately.
