Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Victron Orion XS DC-to-DC 12-volt and 24-volt RV Converter. Now, this is a smart DC-to-DC charger that's designed to safely and efficiently charge your batteries, especially lithium while you're driving. Instead of just relying on your alternator directly, which isn't ideal for lithium batteries, this is gonna regulate both voltage and current so your battery gets the exact charge it needs without being overworked or damaged. One of the nice things about this is how flexible it is. Again, this is gonna work with both 12 and 24-volt systems, so you're gonna be able to mix them, so if your vehicle and battery bank run different voltages, this unit can handle that without any issues.
This can give you up to 50 amps of charging power, and you're able to dial that down anywhere from one to 50 amps. That means that you can match it to your wiring setup and make sure that you're not overloading your alternator. Efficiency is a big selling point here as well. And it's also designed to safely handle short-circuit conditions, I think I can get that out, up to 50 amps. Lemme try to give you some measurements here. Looking at the height, we're sitting right at about 5 1/2 inches or so, roughly. The overall width, almost five inches, about 4 7/8 inches, and the thickness, about 2 1/8 inches thick.
