Older kayak carriers can be mounted to newer aero bars, but it also depends on what type of kayak carrier you have and what kind of clamp it uses. The t-track are a fairly modern feature in crossbars so most of the older accessories only mount with clamps that go around the bars.
The new aero bars like the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420 are usually thicker and larger in order to create that aero design. For example, the WingBar Evos are 3-1/8" wide x 1" tall. You'll have to check if your clamps are wide enough to fit around the bar. Other Thule carriers use adapters like # THXADAPT11. Our product pages will usually tell you if the carrier requires this adapter or not, like it does for the Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier # TH834.
