Last October I looked at a conversion that would not need to change any wiring on my RV, 2004 Gulfstream Prairie Schooner. It never had a power awning on it. I have 20foot awning, the material is new, but the wind ruined my arms when I would like to see if you still have the one that plugs into an outlet to charge the battery that would power the arms to open and close the awning.

If your arms are damaged then your best bet is going with a complete awning kit since this will give you everything you need to replace all of the potentially damaged components. I recommend using the Solera 18V Power RV Awning - 20' Wide - Rechargeable Battery - Black Fade # LC729517 which uses a rechargeable battery to power the awning; we do not have a plug in powered awning, but this would eliminate the need for any connection to the battery of the coach. This also would replace your awning fabric that was newer, but it would allow you to keep an extra fabric on hand that could be used if a replacement is needed.
If you believe that your awning arms aren't in need of replacement then you could just use the Solera 12V Conversion Kit in Black # LC434723 or White # LC434724. These will need to be wired to the battery for power, but would be the most cost effective solution if the arms and brackets aren't completely damaged beyond repair.
