I have a replacement option for you, but since Atwood went out of business there is not longer any replacement 171 master cylinders, and there is not a different brand master cylinder that will work as a replacement.
Instead I recommend replacing your coupler with the Demco Hydraulic Trailer Brake Actuator - Drum Brakes - Zinc Plated - 2" Ball - 7,000 lbs # DM72VR if your 1996 Jayco trailer has drum brakes, or # DM62VR if your trailer has disc brakes.
