Best Trailer Tire to Replace 4.80-12C

Tire upgrade for Triton LTWC1 trailer. Currently 4.80x12C looks like ST145/R12e are an option. This trailer is going to travel 1,500 miles at a time. What are the best tire options?

The best trailer tire to replace your 4.80x12C would be the Kenda Karrier part # AM10130 which has a higher weight capacity, is a radial, and has the higher speed rating of 81 mph instead of the usual speed rating for this size of 65 mph. The higher speed rating will help a lot when traveling longer distances to prevent overheating and failure.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
