This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Kenda Karrier ST145 R12 S-Trail radial trailer tire. It's in a load range E and it's mounted on this 12-inch black aluminum trailer wheel with the five on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, and even campers. The aluminum wheel is a durable, lightweight, and rust-proof wheel, and it is the Americana AMO2 series, which you can see is a split five spoke design in a black finish. And it has a machine finish on the face of the spokes and even on the outer lip.
The machine finish gives a nice shine to the wheel. They do use a clear coat finish on the front and even on the back of the wheel to protect from scuffs and scratches. Now, one of the nice features I like on this wheel is the steel inserts that are pressed into the lug nut wells here. These are designed to help keep your wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. Basically, when you put this up on your hub, your studs will come through, you'll put your lug nuts on and torque 'em down, and those inserts prevent those holes from wearing down over time.
Eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. A few dimensions on the wheel itself, the diameter, 12 inches, the width on just the wheel is four inches. Bolt pattern on this wheel is a five on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five, just pick one of the holes, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes. But the trick is you measure from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whichever hole you measure to.
On this, it'll measure 4-1/2 inches, so it's a five lug, 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Those use the wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 1,520 pounds. Now if you notice the center cap is not included. If you do want one, we do sell those supplemental website. You do wanna make sure to get one that has the same diameter as this pilot hole here.
'Cause when you install that cap, it'll go through this hole. Diameter of this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. The tire that's mounted on this is a Kenda Karrier S-Trail radial tire, uses double steel belts, full nylon plies, combined for superior function and long life. If you look at the tread, it is a nice computer-generated tread design and they do use premium rubber compound materials that offer superior traction, wet or dry conditions. The tires is an ST, which stands for Special Trailer tire, has the sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads and it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. The tire is size, which will be stamped on the tire. Usually it's around the wheel. There it is. ST for Special Trailer 145 R12. The R means it's a radial tire. The section width, 5.8 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top. When it's inflated, it's 21.4. This tire is a load range E, which means it's a 10-ply rated tire. Has a maximum load of 1,520 pounds at 80 PSI. One last thing I do wanna mention is the speed rating. They do put a speed rating on it. It is stamped on the sidewall with a letter designation and where it is, it's right after the tire size. You'll see a number for the load index and then the letter M, speed rating M will mean it's an 81 mile per hour speed-rated tire. And this assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. But that should do it for a look at the Kenda Karrier ST145 R12 -S-Trail radial trailer tire in a load range E on this 12 inch, black aluminum trailer wheel.
