I use this 5’x7’ trailer on my Honda CR-V about three x per week and the jack has worked perfectly for my purposes. Excellent product.

by:

I like the round snap ring swivel jack w/footplate -bolt on

by:

This product is a value for what it does. I needed a short lift for a small trailer and this met my needs. I have not mounted it to the trailer yet however I did see if all was going to fit and it did. The hardware is included so it should be an easy install. Thanks eTrailer for all the good equipment to chose from.

by:

We got the jack to put on a log splitter to make our lives a bit easier. Installation was a snap and the unit it perfect for the job. It was a huge plus that our order was upgraded for quick shipping and it arrived in 2 days. i will order from these folks again!

by:

I received this trailer jack (TJBB-2001-B) in a timely manner and it was exactly as described on your website. The person I talked with was very helpful when assisting me with the order. Installation looks very easy and I like the fact that it has a grease fitting for lubrication. I hope to get many years of service from this product.

by:

I searched all over a jack like this that bolted up. Most places only had the weld on type. This jack is year old and still working great. I also like that it rotates up instead of pointing down like my old jack that was installed from factory.

by:

Very good trailer jack, It was easy to install and holds the trailer tongue up nicely for hook up and un hooking. Thank you Etrailer for a fine product!

by:

For my application this replacement trailer jack was a huge up grade, especialy with the grease zerk ability to lube and protect from the elements.

by:

This was the best addition to my little utility trailer. Keeps the tongue elevated and out of the rain and snow and makes everything easier in hooking and unhooking the trailer. Works great, mounted easily. Only issue was with me. Once I forgot to flip it up and rode off but that was my fault. Still works great. By the way I caught that within thirty feet so no damage.

by:

Trailer jacks work like a charm. very easy to crank. bought 4 jacks to mount to boat trailer. The 4 jacks lift 3500lbs with no problem. I would recommend these

by:

Makes life so much easier than lifting the front of the trailer all the time.

by:

I’m so glad I purchased this jack for my trailer. It arrived quickly and when I got it I immediately installed it. It was very easy to install with just two brackets and four bolts and nuts. Done in five minutes. It is a very solid design and I like how the leg folds up with ease! I can now put my tailgate down without worrying about dinging it up! Should’ve bought this jack when I first got my truck! Thanks e trailer!!!

by:

I got this for a 5x8 utility trailer, for my uses it's perfect. It is much more solid and stable than cheaper versions. I also prefer the foot plate, it provides a more stable stand for working on the trailer if it's not attached to a vehicle. It saves the trouble of finding a block when storing the trailer, and it's always at the right height to hitch up when I need it.

by:

Decent hardware. But it cuts down my turning radius mounted to the A-frame tongue of the trailer. No way around that.

by:

Exactly what I ordered, arrived quickly. Thanks!

by:

The trailer jack is working great!!! thanks for your excellent support!

by:

Better than the last one I had!

by:

Perfect. Needed a jack for my off road utility trailer which is only 2” square. Just what the doctor ordered. Super fast shipping. Awesome customer service. Thanks.

by:

A bit heavy for my little trailer but mounted easily and works perfectly. I finally made a great decision and Ms. Lauren A. was helpful and courteous

by:

We bought this jack for a very small MC pop up trailer. Fits as described. Shipping was fast and the quality is impressive. Very sturdy. Still building so we have not tried it under more than 350lb. load. So far so good.

by:

A nice heavy duty jack that will serve me well. Great packaging and customer service is excellent. I plan on using this jack on my trailer that is made from an old model camper frame with an old model jack and large tongue frame. This trailer is used for hauling my side by side on hunting trips and for hauling my riding lawn mower. A+++++++

by:

Easy to install and use I can get my Tritoon trailer on & off with ease one handed!! My old jack was not even a year old and took two hands to crank it!! Has grease zero fitting to lubricate it !! And under $ 50.00 + minimum shipping was about $64.00 total what deal !! Sincerely from Bonita Springs Florida RSB

  • A-Frame Trailer Jack that Can Attach to Inside of Trailer Frame
So the Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack # STC-V211 uses brackets to mount to the side of a trailer frame. For a trailer jack that uses the same style of topwind handle and mounting brackets we have the Round Snap Ring Swivel Jack w/ Footplate # TJBB-2001-B which would work well.

  • Will the etrailer Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Jack # TJBB-2001-B Fit on a 2 inch by 5 inch Trailer Frame
We have several options for a bolt on swivel jack for your trailer with 2 by 5 inch frame (see link). I would recommend the Pull Pin, Easy Swivel Trailer Jack with 8 inch Wheel - Sidewind - 1,500 lbs. by Dutton-Lainson, item # DL22800, for your trailer if the 1500 pound capacity is sufficient for your boat and trailer. These jacks are high quality and designed to fit square tongues up to 3 x 5 inches. The etrailer Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Jack - Bolt On - Topwind - 10 1/2 inch Lift - 2,000...

  • Trailer Jack to Avoid Tailgate Clearance Issues
There are a few solutions for your tailgate to clear the jack on your trailer. I recommend to use a longer ball mount like # D-26, that would move the trailer back further away from the truck and give you clearance you need. If you know what size the hitch on your vehicle is, the rise or drop of the ball mount for your trailer, if you're using weight distribution or not, and the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole I can make the best recommendation...

  • Light Duty Trailer Jack for Low Clearance
Thanks for reaching out Phillip. If you're looking for a light duty jack for low ground clearance I'd recommend # TJBB-2001-B. When retracted, this jack will measure 11" from the center of the swivel point to the bottom of the jack foot. This is a topwind jack rated for 2,000 lbs that gives you 10-1/2" of total lift. Where do you tow the SXS most—rocky trails, ranch roads, or paved drives?

  • Is There a Blank Cover Plate Which Can Mount Over Holes For A-Frame Trailer Jack Holes?
I have never seen a blank cover plate to cover the hole on your trailer A-frame, but you should be able to easily fabricate one out of a steel or aluminum sheet. As an alternative to the Snap Ring Swivel Jack # TJBB-2001-B you could also consider the Ultimate Trailer Jack # 322-RDJ-2K. This jack mounts in the same space as your current A-frame jack and will allow you to lower it to one of 7-different heights to clear your tailgate.

  • Trailer Jack Compatibility with 14 Inch Tongue Space
The Pull Pin, Easy Swivel Trailer Jack with 8" Wheel - Sidewind - 1,500 lbs. by Dutton-Lainson # DL22800 has an overall length of 26-5/8 inches, so it will not fit where you are desiring. The height to the bracket when retracted is 13 inches, but the overall will to too long. The closest I found was the # PS1400300303 which is 11 inches to the center of the bracket when retracted as is # TJBB-2001-B.

We don't have any offset jacks like the one you have on your 2002 Triton Trailer. I recommend going with the etrailer Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Jack # TJBB-2001-B as this jack will be more convenient as you will not have to reach down as far. This jack includes a welded footplate.

There is only one bracket needed to install the Round Snap Ring Swivel Jack part # TJB-2001-Z on your utility trailer and the bracket is included with the jack so no additional purchases are necessary. I have pointed this bracket out for you. It will need to be welded to the trailer frame. If you don't want to do any welding on the trailer then you can use the Round Snap Ring Swivel Jack w/ Footplate part # TJBB-2001-B instead which is essentially just a bolt-on version of the above jack...

Hello Dennae, thanks for reaching out. I can definitely shed more light on the dimensions of the # TJBB-2001-B jack, but we don't have a CAD drawing we can send. Only the manufacturer would have that and they generally do not share those with the general public. The extended and retracted height we list is measured from the center of the swivel ring hole. So with the jack retracted, it measures 11" tall from the center of the hole to the bottom of the foot. Then with the jack extended...

  • Recommended Side Frame Trailer Jack for 3 x 3 Straight Tongue Trailer
Based on everything you mentioned, the trailer jack I highly recommend for your trailer is the Round Snap Ring Swivel Jack with Footplate - Bolt On # TJBB-2001-B. This will easily bolt on to your 3" x 3" trailer tongue, has a 21-1/2" extended height which is perfect for the height of your trailer, and has a 2,000 lb capacity, which is more than enough for the weight of your trailer because a jack only needs to support the tongue weight of a trailer. I do have a jack for you but the etrailer Item # TJBB-2001-B you were looking at does not have the option to add a wheel. Instead you will want the Pro Series Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Jack item # PSEJ10000101. This jack is similar to the Fulton F141005014 you referenced that is no longer active. It is a side wind jack, with a wheel, that has a 1,000 lbs capacity. It has a small foot print for the mounting bracket. I have linked a diagram below that will show the dimensions.

For the etrailer Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Jack #TJBB-2001-B to fit properly on your homemade camping trailer the frame will need to be boxed. This would require having additional frame material welded where you intend to mount the new jack. I recommend installing the Ultimate Trailer Jack # 322-RDJ-2K in your A-frame mount. Both of these are cost-effective options that are still quality products. The 2K jack has an extended height of 21-1/2" while the jack with a wheel has an extended height of 24". • How to Pick Out a Trailer Jack for a Boat Trailer
The best way to pick out a jack is to pick out one that has enough capacity to handle the tongue weight of your trailer. Typically, tongue weight is 10-15 percent of the total weight of the trailer. So lets say your boat and trailer weight a total of 10,000 lbs. Most likely you would have a tongue weight of 1,000-1,500 lbs. • Swivel Jack with Sturdy Pull Pin To Eliminate Jack Movement While Winding and Unwinding
I'll start off by saying that part of the play that you're experiencing has a bit to do with the bolt on feature vs. a welded on jack; bolted on jacks are going to have a bit more play on them, but there are some features in jacks that you can look for that will lessen the play/wiggle you're experiencing. First, choosing a top wind jack over a side wind jack will help reduce some of the movement when you're winding/unwinding. Second, a strong pull pin that locks the jack into position...
