Question:

Good morning, Will the Fishing Rod Storage Tube for Malone Megasport Kayak trailer fit on the crossbars of the Malone Ecolight Sports Trailer? I would like to put my 12 ft fishing kayak on the trailer with rod holder next to it, but I am uncertain if the rod holder hardware is compatible with the 58” crossbars. Thanks,

The Fishing Rod Storage Tube # MPG541 is designed to be used with Malone MegaSport Kayak Trailer # MPG535. This MegaSport trailer has crossbars that are 86" long and has 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" square tubing. The Malone EcoLight Sport Trailer # MAL53FR also has the same 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" square tubing that will allow the Fishing Rod Storage Tube to be mounted onto it. Just keep in mind that the EcoLight trailer has shorter 58" crossbars which means the storage tube will have more overhang compared to being used on the MegaSport 86" crossbars.

I recommend adding Master Lock Covered, Solid Body Padlock - 3/16" Diameter Shackle # 131D to the storage tube to keep the fishing rods safe and secured. I have attached demonstration videos for these products.
