Which Trailer Hitch Receiver Should I Use On My 2021 VW Golf TSI To Haul A 2" Bike Rack

I am looking for a trailer hitch for my new 2021 Golf TSI. I want a 2 inch hitch opening so that I can use my Saris bike rack, and I also plan to occasionally tow a small utility trailer. I can find 2 inch hitches for the GTI, but not the TSI. Suggestions?

I have a solution for you, however, I do not see any 2" hitch receivers available for your 2021 Volkswagen Golf TSI at this time. I recommend going with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11412 which is confirmed to fit your Golf TSI. This has a max tongue weight of 200lbs and max towing capacity of 2,000lbs. While this is not exactly what you are looking for since it is not 2", you could use an adapter like Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver with 5" Rise # HT5R for your 2" accessories such as your bike rack. Keep in mind that this adapter is NOT to be used for towing and will reduce your overall hitch capacity by 50%. So the Curt # C11412 will now have a max tongue weight of 100lbs which you will not want to exceed with your bike rack and bikes.
When towing a trailer, you will not want to use the adapter; instead you can use a ball mount like Draw-Tite Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches - 4" Rise - 10" Long - 2,000 lbs # 3594 which will fit the 1-1/4" receiver. You can then install a hitch ball: use # 19256 for 1-7/8" ball or # 19258 for a 2" ball. I have attached demonstration videos for these products.
