Does Curt Hitch Still Require Stabilizer Strap with Bike Rack like Kuat NV

Question:

I have a KUAT BASE 2.0 in my INFINITI QX70 and I bought from you the HITCH CURT BRAND but they recommended to have stabilizer CURT 18050 straps but In my RACK I cannot attach the rack because goes too below on the Hitch level and that can breach my BRAKE LIGHT if I go too below. I am not very sure if I can strap the bike. Could you tell if that will help or better do not use the stabilizer straps. I attach you few pictures.

Hey Alberto, so back in the day Curt did require you to use a stabilizer strap when carrying non-supported loads like your Kuat NV 2.0 Base part # BA12B but they ended up stopping that requirement so you no longer have to worry about that!

Hey Alberto, how did things turn out with your Kuat Base 2.0 rack and the Curt hitch on your Infiniti? Did removing the stabilizer strap solve the clearance issue near your brake light? Your update could make it easier for others using the same setup.
