Question:

The 2017 GMC Acadia hitch looks totally different than the one on other websites. Is this one listed for the 2017 actually fit the 2016 or another model? It also shows that the bumper must be removed for the 2017 but not on the YouTube demo from eTrailer. Please help

I have another option for you, but the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98865 you were looking at is designed to fit the 2005 - 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, 2010 - 2017 GMC Terrain, 2006 - 2009 Pontiac Torrent, 2002 - 2007 Saturn Vue, and will not fit your 2017 GMC Acadia.

For a trailer hitch receiver confirmed to fit your vehicle I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III # C13293 due to it having a 750lb tongue weight rating and 5000lb trailer weight rating. While your Acadia might not have this high of a towing capacity, it is always nice to know that the trailer hitch receiver is rated for more than you could use.

If you are planning on towing with your Acadia you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # 118720, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
