Trailer Hitch Receiver Needed for 2001 Chevy S-10 Xtreme Trim
Updated 02/18/2021 | Published 02/16/2021 >
Question:
I have a 2001 Chevy S10 Xtreme. I am wanting to put a trailer hitch on it. I am wondering if the part *Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2* will fit my truck. It has, what I would consider to be, a sportside with a non-towing bumper. Just trying to figure it out before buying something that wont work.

Curt # 13920 works with you 2001 Chevrolet S-10 Xtreme. The Xtreme trim has a roll pan style rear bumper which is not designed for trailer hitches. The Curt hitch's receiver tube is mounted on the top of the cross tube and is concealed behind the license plate. You do want to keep in mind the hitch sits higher than a normal S-10 due to the receiver tube being mounted behind the plate.
I have also attached a ball mount set # 989900 that offers two ball sizes, two different drops, two pins and clips, and a carrying case.
