Question:
Should I remove snow cables when I am going to be parked for a while ie. over night at hotel, or parked at ski resort?

While ideally you should take them off whenever you are not using them, keeping them on overnight especially if the parking area still has ice/snow in the morning is fine. Now this will also depend on the tire chains you have on. The Glacier V-Trac Cable Chains # PW1042 you're asking about are more likely to wear faster since the cable design, while low profile, is also not as heavy duty. I do recommend at least taking off the rubber tensioners if you're leaving your vehicle parked overnight.
We have a fit guide you can go through to get the correct fit for your tires on your 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon. For Tire size 225/65-17, the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains # PW1042 are the correct fit. I also attached a video showing how to install them if you want to see the process before having to figure it out in the snow.
