Which weight distribution hitch you'll need will depend on the specs of the trailer- the GVWR and the tongue weight of the trailer. From what I was able to find it looks like a typical 2 horse Featherlite trailer will weigh around 8000-lbs fully loaded. I recommend using a weight distribution hitch like the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Trunnion - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW # FA92-00-1200, which has a tongue weight range of 800-lbs to 1200-lbs, so it will work well for your Featherlite horse trailer. This hitch uses steel on steel brackets to give you 2 point sway control, so it's a great solution to fight sway events and also safely distribute the tongue weight of your trailer across both axles on your 2017 Ford Expedition.
This hitch may require a thin walled socket # EQ70-00-4800 to help ease installation of the hitch ball, and you'll also need a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" shank diameter like the # EQ91-00-6120.
I've linked a short review video of this system for you to check out. If your tongue weight or GVWR is different from what I've mentioned here, just let me know and I can help you locate something more appropriate. I've also linked our entire selection of weight distribution hitches for you to look at, as well as a helpful article we've done on how to select the proper one.
