6-Way to 7-Way Trailer Connector Adapter Recommendations

Question:
I have the old 6 way plug on my truck. I have ordered a new trailer with 7 way plug. The trailer also has electric brakes on both axles. I like the flex cord adaptor but which one do I need? Will the electric brakes work also?

Helpful Expert Reply:
What you need is a simple 6-Way to 7-Way adapter, # 47435. This will plug into your trucks 6-Way and the trailer will then plug into the 7-Way end. There are 2 ways to wire a 6-Way. Either the center pole will be brakes or 12 volt power. You can easily re-pin this adapter to match what is on your truck. Either way it will retain all of the functions from the original 6-Way including electric brake output from a brake controller to the trailer brakes.
