Question:
I’m looking at getting a transmission cooler for my 2016 GMC Acadia Sle AWD. I’m looking at the Derale 8000 13503 and 13504. I see the 13504 is bigger so would provide more cooling, but I want to make sure it will fit on my existing radiator. I haven’t measured it yet. What do you recommend?

When considering which transmission cooler you want to install on your 2016 GMC Acadia, it is always best to get the largest one that will safely fit on your vehicle. These coolers are both confirmed to fit your vehicle, however, in this case it will definitely be a good idea to first measure how much room you have on your Acadia, then you will know which cooler to get
The smaller one, Derale Class 3 Transmission Cooler # D13503 is 11" Wide, 8-3/4" tall, and 7/8" deep.
The larger one, Derale Class 4 Transmission Cooler # D13504, is 11" Wide, 12" tall, and 7/8" deep.
You will also want to get Derale GM Radiator Adapter # D13035; this will allow you to easily connect the transmission cooler to the radiator without modifying factory connections. Another helpful product would be the Derale Mounting Kit # D13002. This kit is not technically necessary, but it surely makes installation easier by using the bendable mounting brackets I am attaching a few videos going over these products.
