Question:
Does the rear tailgate sensor need to be moved before hitch install. Honda 2021 Honda Pilot.

By installing a hitch on the 2021 Honda Pilot, the tailgate sensor will likely be blocked. Luckily, Honda does offer an adapter kit that moves the sensor to accommodate the installation of a trailer hitch.
The Honda part number is I08L91-TG7-100C ; your local Honda dealer should be able to help source that part.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13146 is a great choice for your 2021 Honda Pilot. With a strong rust-resistant powder coat, the hitch will withstand the elements and always be protected. The Curt # C13146 has a weight capacity of 6000lbs and tongue weight of 900lbs, which is more than enough for the 3,500lb towing capacity of your vehicle.
You will also need a trailer wiring kit if you plan to pull a trailer. The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118760 will work great. This will simply plug into the factory tow plug which is usually behind a panel in the trunk (driver's side). You will also have to attach one white ground wire to your vehicle. Instructions are included.
I have attached detailed installation videos for these products.
