Question:
2017 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited : Is it possible to install something like a factory tow package trailer wiring outlet for a 4 pole or 7 pole if there is a 4 to 7 pole adaptor plug . I would rather not have the wiring dangling out of the trunk if it can be avoided . Thank you .

Unless there is a factory tow package wiring plug available on the vehicle, there's not a way to add one after the fact. For that reason, I recommend using the Tekonsha T-One # 118467 to install the 4 way on your 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon; even though it will have the 4 way dangling out of your rear hatch when you're using it, it doesn't damage the harness and is the only available solution unless you were to cut a hole in the bottom of the vehicle.
I've linked the installation of this harness for you to use as a reference when it's time for installation.
