Although we don't have install videos for the # BLU99FR base plate kit or the specific wiring kit you mentioned, I've linked you to Blue Ox's excellent installation instructions for the # BLU99FR Base Plate Kit and an install video for a similar diode kit.
The installation instructions for the base plate include color photos show each step of the process which you'll hopefully find helpful. The installation video shows a similar diode kit being installed on an older Ram truck. The wire colors will likely be different on your truck, but the process shown for testing wire function will be the same.
