Question:
Can I use the wiring harness from my current Tekonsha p2 on a new Tekonsha P3? The P2 is currently installed on may 2017 Silverado. The unit had to be hardwired rather than plug to plug.

You can absolutely use the same harness from your Tekonsha P2 # 90885 to plug in to your Tekonsha P3 # 90195 since the hardwire harness # 7894 that the P2 uses has the same connector as the hardwire harness # 20127 that is used for the P3. The only difference between the two is that the P2 harness is longer than the P3 harness.
Make sure to use the new mounting bracket included with the Tekonsha P3 as it is different than the mounting bracket for the Tekonsha P2.
The Tekonsha P3 will be a great upgrade for your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado as it has a new easy to read LCD screen and a built in diagnostics system that is easy to understand.
I included a video of the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 for you to take a look at.
