Max Weight Capacity for etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2020 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock

Question:

Would installing trailer hitch e98852 increases the tow capacity? The Ram 3.6 motor with an 8 speed trans and a 3.21 axle.

When trying to figure out the maximum towing capacity on a vehicle such as your 2020 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock, you are limited by the lowest rating between the trailer hitch receiver and the vehicle.

From some research I did online I found that with the specifications you mentioned, and depending on bed length and if your truck is 2WD or 4WD the maximum towing capacity listed is between 4550lbs and 4360lbs.

While the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98852 allows for a maximum gross trailer weight of 6000lbs, you will still be limited to the maximum towing capacity of your vehicle which is between 4550lbs and 4360lbs.
