Brake Drum Recommendation for InTech Flyer Chase Trailer

Updated 10/13/2020 | Published 10/10/2020

Question:

Sir/Maam - I have a 2020 InTech Flyer Chase trailer - it has a 2200 pound Dexter axle Idler?. It has 4-bolt flanges for brakes, so I ordered the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit w/ Parking Brakes - 7inch - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 2.2K. I have never done this before, and thought the brakes came with the drum assembly. Needless to say, I was wrong : Can you please tell me which drum assembly I need to get to get brakes working on my trailer? Many thanks in advance for your assistance and have a great and safe day. Very Respectfully,

Since you have 2,200 Dexter axles and the Dexter brake assemblies # K23-103-104-00 and I can tell you have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern the hub drums you'd need are the part # 8-271-7UC3-EZ.

The last thing you'll need is 10 gauge wire that you'd run from the brake assemblies to the trailer connector with part # 10-1-1 which we offer by the foot.
