Question:

I have a 2005 Coachmen Aurora 3480 DS. Which is the correct replacement for a Kwikee step control box #909506000? My steps intermittently work. Sometimes they work great and sometimes they do not work at all. I have a good ground. I unhooked the motor and used a battery to check the motor and it works. I have aligned the magnetic strip on the door. Could it be a faulty switch or should I replace the control box? Thank you

In most cases I've seen, the control module is the likely suspect when the steps start functioning intermittently. The correct replacement module for your 909506000 is part # LC379606. We have confirmed this with Lippert on a few different occasions. If you want to, you can to test the control module, but you will first need to obtain the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Tester part # LC379416. Once you have this then you can use the attached photos to test the control module.

If you find out that the control module has gone bad, you can replace it with the # LC379606, which includes 2 magnetic switches.
