Truxedo Truxport Cover Is Hard To Snap Shut
Published 09/01/2020 >
Question:
Hi. I just installed my Truxport tonneau cover and it is hard to snap shut. Also, when I pull the clips to open it, it goes flying. Way too much tension, or I didnt install it correctly. Can you help?

Expert Reply:
Since you just installed the tonneau cover, it needs a day or so to heat up and stretch out. There is no need to adjust cover length tension. The Latch Assembly is set to the correct tension. Any modification done to this will VOID warranty. Put the cover outside in the sun as much as you can until the material is stretched out. Tonneau covers with a vinyl construction like the TruXedo TruXport Soft, Roll-Up Tonneau Cover # TX246601 tend to be extremely tight until they stretch out and the sun is the best way to do that!
