Let's take a look together at our Weigh Safe 180 Hitch with an eight inch drop, nine inch rise option for a two and a half by two and a half inch hitch shank size. Now folks, this is gonna give you a nice ball mount with included hitch balls, included hitch lock and the included locks on the head assembly here. That's all key alike and it comes with rubber covers to cover that for moisture, dust, debris, that kind of thing. You're gonna get a two inch ball rated at 8,000 pounds capacity and a two in five 16 inch ball rated at 18,500 pounds capacity. Now getting into it folks, again, you're gonna get the hitch pin lock included and the head unit dual pin lock included as well and four keys and those are two keys, so they're very nice, elegant and hard to pick because they're round and tubular shaped.
Now some quick dimensions, I go from the center of the ball back to the center of this hitch pin hole and the farthest one, starting at the closest one, I was getting about eight and a half inches and when I went to the farthest one, I got nine and five eights and then when I went from the center of this hitch pin hole back to the back of the unit, I got right at three inches and on the closest hole to the back, I got one and seven eighth inches. So everything here is a solid piece of billet 6061T6 aluminum, so super light, rust, corrosion resistant, those kind of things and the ball itself is a one piece stainless steel ball assembly. Now that's rust proof. Stainless steel, as you know, is gonna stand the test of time. Very nice, elegant.
Everything here is heavy duty. As far as opening and closing and using the locks, again, very simple. Put the tube key in and simply unlock it, pull it out. Let's say you had to go on this one. The good thing with the tube keys is they are very simple to use, they make it a lot quicker and on this one here, let's say I wanna switch to the 2 and 5/16 ball, unlock it, pull the pin out, now I just rotate the ball over, took me all of about 10, 15 seconds maybe, and now because I flipped it over, the locking pin is on this side now of the unit and I simply push in, lock it up and it's good to go, ready to go.
And then you just put your dust cover right back over there, keep everything nice and clean and free of moisture and debris and that kind of stuff. So, folks, a very nice ball mount option here. Again, you get the two balls, stainless steel, everything's aluminum, you don't have to worry about rust, corrosion, anything like that. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up. Been looking for a while on a new hitch and finally pulled the trigger. Etrailer made it fast and easy to get the hitch I wanted at a fair price.
After 3 months one of the trailer chains bonds against the hitch while taking a shape turn and bent the key to flip the receiver ball. So we are basically stuck with a 2 5/16 receiver since it cannot be opened and flipped. Aluminum is nice but weak at the same time.
Fast shipping as always! While I haven't had the chance to use this hitch yet, it looks like a high-quality product straight out of the box. I plan to test it this weekend and will update this review if I remember after putting it to use.
Very solid and beautifully finished. Fits well on my 2016 Ram 2500 4x4, with the newer 2-1/2" receiver, allowing the exact height necessary to level my toy hauler. Ball mount is packaged in foam to ensure it is pristine when it arrives.
Got the locking dual pin for it, as well as the BOLT locks for hitch and coupler, so none of this pretty stuff walks away. Very happy with the whole setup.

Hitch works well. Seems it could be a bit tighter when in receiver on truck but overall is a good purchase.
Good product feels very sturdy. My only critique is that it has too much play causing a lot of rattling. The manufacturer should have a tightening bolt so that after installation the two components tighten up and there’s no play.

Great product. Craftsmanship is top notch.
Easy to use and very sturdy built. My only complaint is the standard coated Balls rusted pretty quickly and look bad. I Should have went with the upgraded stainless steel. Also the salt from 1 winter has left some corrosion on the aluminum of the hitch and the sticker fell off. None of these things affect the function, but i wish it would have stayed looking as nice as it did when it was new.
