Availability of a Shorter Length Ball Mount with 3 inches of Rise

Question:

I have a 2018 Audi Q7 capable of pulling 7,700 pounds, but there is s sticker on the hitch receiver that says I shouldn’t exceed a 6.2 inch long ball mount, which seems impossible to find. What is the shortest ball mount available? Unfortunately, I also need a 3 inch rise to meet my travel trailer coupler height. Is there anything you can suggest? If I can’t get the necessary rise out of a short ball mount, is there a ball with a longer shank that can height?

The shortest ball mount we offer that has 3 inches of rise would be the part # DT40201 which has a distance of 8-3/4 inches from the hitch pin hole to the ball platform hole. This is a very standard ball mount length so I can't see it being long enough to cause an issue but I would recommend you check with an Audi dealer.
