Dual Propane Regulator Replacement for Older Trailer

Updated 08/14/2020 | Published 08/12/2020

Question:

I own a 1959 Airstream globetrotter with what looks like the original gas pressure regulator. I believe it is leaking as I can smell gas around it. I am interested in replacing the old one with a new regulator. I’m able to send pics if necessary. Do you have a regulator that I can use on a vintage trailer?

It looks like what you have there are dual propane tanks, so a dual propane regulator will be needed. The age of the trailer doesn't matter so long as the fittings on the tanks are current. So what you need is the Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-31525.

For hoses you can use the 12 inch MB Sturgis Propane Hose Assembly - RV Type 1 w/ Back Check x 1/4" MPT # 100473-12.

To mount this regulator if needed, you can use the U-Post RV LP Gas Regulator Bracket # 37207-30405.

I have added links to video reviews for you to check out as well.
