Jameson suggested the blue ox braking system,for our 2017 GMC Terrain, buy the stay and play duo is permanent, will that work as well or the same as Blue Ox

In regards to braking systems, there are portable options which take a bit of time to setup but can easily be transfered for vehicle to vehicle and there are fixed options which don't really require any setup but are not easily transferred from one vehicle to another.
The best two options in these categories are the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System part # BLU37TR and the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System part # SM99251. These will both work just fine on a 2017 GMC Terrain but you will need the 12V Outlet Kit part # RM-9332 for the Blue Ox Patriot.
