Installing Tekonsha Primus Brake Controller and Gooseneck Hitch for 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

What harness do i need for the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional for a 2008 Silveraldo 1500 ? And hat gooseneck hitch do you recommend for a 5 1/2 ft bed?

Expert Reply:

There is a pig tail harness on the back of your Primus Controller and all of the wiring connections are made under your dash on your Silverado. There isn't a plug and play harness available for part # TK90160. There is a bundle of wiring attached to your brake pedal at the top to make the necessary connection. I have attached a video to help walk you through installation.

I highly recommend part # 9465-54 for your gooseneck. This is a straight forward install and is a very popular option for your truck.
