Correct Ball Mount for Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 11307 on 2010 Cadillac CTS Sedan

Updated 07/28/2020 | Published 07/24/2020

Question:

I am going to be installing the Curt hitch on my 2010 Cadillac CTS AWD, and pulling a kayak trailer. The weight is not my concern, and I dont yet have the trailer to know the height needed. My question is, since the hitch sits back from the bumper, should I be looking at the longer shaft receiver, 3594 from Draw-Tite to clear the bumper, or is a more standard one going to be sufficient?

For a Class I hitch that fits your 2010 Cadillac CTS such as the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11307, the hitch manufacturer specifies the exact ball mount that you will need to use with the hitch. For this hitch, the one that Curt specifies will be plenty long enough at 11-1/4 inches long, the Curt Drawbar # C45522.

With this ball mount you will also need the Pin and Clip # C21410 and a hitch ball (which depends on the size of your trailer's coupler), either 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # C40001 or 2" Hitch Ball # C40018.

Then for a 4-flat trailer wiring harness for your 2010 Cadillac CTS sedan use the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236.
