How Does Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack Fit 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch Hitch Sizes

Question:

I have a Nissan Frontier pickup with a 2inch hitch. I have a Subaru with a 1.25inch hitch. I want to buy the Swagman XTC so that it works with both vehicles. My question is am I better off getting the 2inch model for the truck and adapting down to 1.25 for the Mazda. Or am I better off getting the 1.25inch Swagman and using a 2inch adapter on the truck. The great thing about the Swagman XTC2 part # S64670 is that it fits both hitch sizes without requiring additional adapters. Basically the shank of the rack fits a 1-1/4 inch hitch but it also comes with a sleeve type adapter that allows it to fit properly in a 2 inch hitch so with just the rack you'd be totally set!
