Question:
I heard that my Kia Telluride can’t support a WD hitch because it has a “unibody” frame... is that true? I’ve seen other Telluride with them on. Is there any reason I can’t get a WD hitch?

In most cases, this is true; vehicles with unibody frames are not designed to support the additional twisting that can be experienced while towing with a weight distribution hitch. With that said, the best source for this information would be in the owner's manual of your vehicle, which will have explicit instructions on towing-including whether or not you should use a weight distributing hitch on your 2020 Kia Telluride. I wasn't able to find anything explicitly regarding this on your vehicle from some quick research, but I do recommend doing a more thorough search of the owner's manual.
If you find that you can use a weight distribution hitch, the tongue weight capacity of the 2020 Telluride is 350-lbs so your best bet is going to be something like the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0450 which is designed for smaller trailers and comes integrated with sway control. This system does not come with a hitch ball so you will need one with a 1" diameter like the # 40038; which one you need will depend on the trailer coupler size.
I've linked a video review of the Fastway e2 system for you to have a look at, which will give you a bit more information.
