Question:
1976 argosy camper restoration. I’ve removed the lip in back of trailer that houses tail lights. I need surface mounted likes to replace, my problem is they located near radius of sidewall. I’d like to use the previous wire holes for the new set. Do you have any suggestions for a tail light assembly with or without back up light, prefer with backup since wiring in place. Vertical or horizontal as long as looks classy. Thanks

The issue that you're going to run into here is that the lip that you removed is designed to allow you to mount lights on the back because of the curved ends. Because it's such a smooth curve there, you're not going to be able to use something like the Bargman Wraparound Clearance/Side Marker Light - 86 Series - Red - Black Base # 30-86-202.
With that said, I'll mention two options for you that you could likely make work by moving the electrical wiring in a bit. First, you could use the Jeep-Style LED Combination Trailer Tail Light - 4 Function - 52 Diodes - Passenger Side # STL60RB and # STL60RLBP which are a multi-function LED light that will look good and provide you with all of the functions you're seeking. I really like these lights because of the functionality, but I'm whether or not they'll meet your aesthetic guidelines for this is up to you.
The other set I would recommend looking at are the Combination LED Trailer Tail Light - Submersible - 7 Function - 14 Diodes # STL9RB and # STL8RB, which are also a multi-function light that gives you stop light, turn signal light, tail light, rear reflex reflector, side marker light, side reflex reflector and a license plate light all in one. These do not have a reverse light function, but the multitude of other functions make them a great option for this trailer. The incandescent versions of these lights can also be had with parts # ST8RB and # ST9RB.
I've linked some informational videos on these parts as well as the entire selection of multi-function tail lights that we have available in case you'd like to look through our selection to find something you like better.
