Can the Dutton-Lainson Bunk Board Bracket DL21762 Rotate to Match Hull Angle

Updated 04/23/2020 | Published 04/22/2020

Question:

I am annoyed right now, I purchased DL21754 and was going to purchase this part because from the QandA it sounds like it tilts side to side swivels, but the person on the phone said it does not. Now I am going to be charged return shipping for my bunks because it was not clear. Can I get a definitive answer, the person on the phone thought there was a weld on the bracket, but that would not make a lot of sense to me, why put one pin in the middle if it wasnt meant to swivel?

I apologize for all of the confusion. I can tell you with absolute certainty that the Dutton-Lainson Roller Bunk Bracket, # DL21762, will pivot to allow the roller bunk to conform to the angle of the boat or watersport vehicle's hull. The hook piece at the top of the bracket will pivot at the rivet that holds the hook to the mounting bracket. The hook is not easy to rotate because it is designed to have enough tension to hold itself in place once you set it to your desired angle, but a little persuasion with a rubber mallet won't hurt if you can't move it by hand.

I attached a photo to try to give you a visual of how this bracket swivels. If you are attaching this bracket to the trailer frame, you will want to attach it to a frame member that runs perpendicular to the boat, meaning across the boat's hull like most bunk board brackets attach.
