You can use the 5 foot long Dutton-Lainson deluxe roller bunk # DL21741 on your 8 foot bunk, and you would just locate it in the middle of the bunk.

I also offer the Dutton-Lainson roller bunk, part # DL21740. This is a 4 foot long roller bunk, so you could install 2 per bunk.

You will also want to make sure that the roller bunks will be able to handle the weight capacity of your 18 foot boat.

To install the roller bunks to your trailer, you may also be interested in the Dutton-Lainson roller bunk bracket, part # DL21742. These brackets will have to be installed at the correct angle for your boat hull as they are stationery.

Hello, is the price listed for the set of 2 4 or 5 rollet bunks? What is the height difference after loading boat on roller bunks are installed?Does your rollers use a bushing and if so what type? Do they require lube and how long of service life should be expected?Curious about distance allowed in front of bunk rollers for just using the bow sinching roller when winch up for trailering. Is there enough support for a 16 boat without installing another keel roller? Thanks for feedback.George H.

The price listed for DL21740 is for a pair of bunks and each bunk has 5 roller points with 3 rollers to a point. DL21741 is the same but with 6 points instead of 5. There are no bushings, you can see a better detail of the rollers by looking at part DL203228, I have added a link. Service life will depend on the weight of the boat and water. Salt water will be harder on the rollers and hardware than fresh. The length needed will be dependent on the trailer setup. I would match the length as closely as possible to the original bunks on the trailer and probably just swap out the tow bunks closest to the bottom of the keel.
