I have sound but no picture in my tv when I play a DVD

If you're getting sound but no picture it would lead me to believe that there is an issue with the A/V Video Output connection (the yellow plug in port on the back of the unit) on the back of the unit or on the TV. I would start by checking those connections. If you've got everything firmly connected, please let me know and I can give you a couple of other things to have a look at.

All of the inputs for my TV the white and the red and the yellow are all plugged in securely and of course the TV is plugged in and the blue light on the front of the TV TV is showing indicating that the TV is on. However pressing the play button Jensen remote plays the sound on the Jensen stereo system but there is no picture on the TV set.

@JohnH Is the TV on the correct source input to match up to the stereo system? The speakers are wired separately from the TV to the stereo system so that would explain why the audio is coming through but not the video.

I do not have a yellow I put on the back of my Jensen TV. I have sound with putting a dvd in the player but no picture.

@Annette Do you have just an HDMI cord you're using? If that's the case then I recommend trying to swap out different parts of your setup to see where it's failing. For example, use a different HDMI cord. Use the DVD player with a different TV and the TV with a different DVD player. Also make sure the disc itself is in good condition (no scratches or damage to it).

I have a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. I install a Jensen single din am fm cd dvd player in it. Everything worked fine except for the screen. I can hear the video playing. Just can't see it. On the old radio. It has a yellow connector. There's none on the new one. I was sitting in my driveway trying to see the screen. I just hear it. Does the yellow connector has something to do with it? On the yellow wire I connected in the back of my New radio. It said parking brake.

@Derrick It is just a matter of checking the connections. There has to be a wire that's not connected or is just a little loose.

The wire that's not connected is the parking brake wire

@Derrick I doubt that is the problem wire. So is the screen totally dark like it doesn't have any power or does it not want to play DVD's? If it's black all the time I would assume it's an internal problem with the stereo.
