The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 has a lifetime warranty so any issues you have with the brake controller will be covered by the manufacturer. That said, I don't think you will have any issues as we have had mostly great reviews from the Curt Echo. The Curt Echo is also the easiest to install brake controller on the market which is where it get's its popularity. It only requires a 7-way trailer connector for installation.

The bluetooth signal on our Curt Echo Brake Controller stopped working (no light/no signal/could no longer connect to any smartphone, etc). No damage to the unit at all, it just stopped working one day. I took it back to where I bought it and they said they called the company and their rep and they denied my coverage. No reason given other than it was a "limited" lifetime warranty and they would not replace the unit. To their credit, my retailer gave me a new one at their cost, but the warranty is apparently not worth the paper it's written on.
