my f-150 already has a 4 pole already and i would like to install a brake controller an the 4 pole and 7 pole combo . what do you suggest i need.

You should be able to trace the 4-Way harness towards the front of the truck and find where it connects to another connector. The connector should be square and look like the plugs for # 118242. Adding this harness and the relays/fuses it comes with will provide you with a 7-Way trailer connector. You could then just use an adapter, # PK12716, when you need a 4-Way.
You could use # HM40975-11998 and hardwire it into the factory wiring harness on the forward side of the truck. You would need to use a circuit test like # PTW2993 if needed to test the wiring functions on the factory harness and then match them up by function to the Hopkins harness based on the wiring configuration table on the product page.
