We have lost our old hitch bolt Thule #853-5019-02. Will this work as a replacement for it?

Yes the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device part # THSTL2 can be used to replace your old inactive Thule bolt part # 853-5019--02. They share the same thread size and pitch and will be plenty long enough to secure your rack.
