Would Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack for Sprinter Rear Door Clear Rear Mounted Spare Tire

Question:

I have a 2008 Sprinter with an Aluminess spare tire carrier mounted on the rear of the vehicle on the drivers side. The top of the spare tire sits approx. 3inch below the bottom edge of the rear window. How high above the bottom of the window edge does the bike tire rails measure? The stock photo you have is not a Sprinter so it is hard to tell. It does appear that if the rails are mounted at the top-most position they may clear my spare tire. Would appreciate any help!

I checked with Thule and they assured me that the wheel tray of the Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack for Sprinter Rear Door # TH302043 would clear your rear spare as the wheel tray is actually located above the bottom of the window edge so it wouldn't come close to interfering with your rear mounted spare.
