After a long drive, you don't want to spend time leveling your trailer, you just want to relax. This drop leg gives your jack a wider base so it feels steady once you're parked, without stacking blocks or worrying about the jack sinking.
A bare jack tube concentrates all the weight in a small spot, which is why it slowly sinks into dirt, grass, or soft ground. This drop leg adds a wider 6" foot that spreads the load out, helping the jack sit more securely instead of settling after you walk away.
Stacks of wood, plastic blocks, and scraps are a workaround, not a solution. With this drop leg installed, the support is already part of the jack, so there's nothing extra to carry, store, or line up every time you park.
The drop leg gives you multiple height positions, letting you get the tongue close to level with a couple of pin moves. That means less cranking on the jack and fewer back-and-forth adjustments when the ground isn't completely level.
A wider base helps the tongue sit more solidly on uneven ground. The trailer feels more settled when people move around inside, instead of bouncing or shifting after a rain or on softer surfaces. Once it's set, you're not rechecking the ground or wondering if it's going to move.
This drop leg is designed for standard A-frame trailer jacks with a 2" diameter inner tube and a V-groove. It installs with a black nickel quick-release pin and becomes part of the jack, not another accessory to manage.
If you already have a 6" SnapPad (SN47FR), this setup is built to work with it. You do not have to swap parts or change your setup. It fits with your existing SnapPad, so you keep the added stability and ground protection you are used to. If you do not have one yet, you can also choose the bundled kit option (e44QV) that includes the SnapPad for a complete, ready-to-install solution right out of the box.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this etrailer SnapPad compatible trailer jack drop leg. Now this is gonna be a smarter, more stable way to support your trailer's tongue jack when you're parked. So instead of messing around with stacks of wood or plastic blocks, this is going to replace all of that with one solid piece. It's just gonna work beautifully for you. Now, retrieving my ruler here, I just wanted to measure the foot here.
So looking at the diameter, as you can see, that's right at six inches. So this is going to spread the weight out over dirt or grass. So your jack is not going to sink in. It's going to stay evenly supported and that wider base is also going to make your trailer feel steadier once it's parked. You're gonna notice less movement when people are walking around inside of it.
Setup is gonna be fast too. This has again, this drop leg design. It has five adjustment holes here. Those holes are spaced apart at two inches on center, so you're gonna be able to get the trailer close to level even before you start cranking the jack. It's gonna save time and effort at the campsite.
And the overall height is, I hope you can see, we're sitting right at about 13 and 1/4 inches tall. So this is designed to fit most common A-frame tongue jacks with a two inch inner tube and the V groove here is gonna help keep everything aligned. Now if you want even more surface area, this is compatible with a six inch SnapPad, which is going to bump the base out to over seven inches wide. So we do have this available with that SnapPad as a kit. So if you wanna get both the drop leg and the SnapPad together, I do have the part number there for you on your screen.
You can just take that number, pop it in the search field of our website. That will take you to that kit and you can add that to your order instead of this if you prefer. Now as far as strength goes, this is rated for up to 5,000 pounds of tongue weight. Doesn't weigh much at all, weighs a little over three pounds, but it's very strong. And this does have a really nice durable powder coat finish. You got a forest yellow here at the bottom, which is our color here at etrailer, but the powder coat has an e-coat and that's gonna give it really great corrosion resistance. This is going to lock into place with this included black nickel quick release pin. So installing it or removing it is going to be quick and easy. So this is going to make, again, you're leveling faster, it's going to make parking more stable and it's going to completely eliminate the hassle again of block stacking. And it's just going to be a quicker, nicer overall way to get everything to get your trailer level on softer ground in particular. If you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this or anything that we have here to etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
