Question:
I purchased a Roto-flex Lippert 1621 Pin box 2-18-20. After reading a QandA from your website on this very noise problem, your comments from the Lippert company was that it only makes this clanking noise with a gooseneck. I have a Curt Q20 fifth wheel hitch that I purchased from you back in 2017. You said to lube the pivot point where the pin rotates. Not sure which bolts you are referring to. This is a new unit so not sure it would need lubed. What else can I do? Noise is very annoying. Thanks

The thing that causes the noise you are experiencing is actually the hitch you have and not the Roto Flex. The biggest factor in how much noise you'll experience when towing a fifth wheel trailer is the hitch itself since it has moving parts and it's responsible for grabbing onto the trailer. The Q20 hitch you have is not known to be super quiet so I'm not totally surprised you are having issues with noise.
If you wanted to quiet down your towing setup a quieter hitch would be the best solution. For that the B and W Patriot # BWRVK3200 would be your best option as it has the best jaw design out there for keeping the ride quality smooth and quiet. I attached a review video for this for more info as well.
