How To Add a 7-Way To a 2017 Audi Q7

Question:

I noticed that all of the custom wiring options available for my vehicle are only four pin. Would this kit work to add a seven pin harness? My trailer is a five pin uses the reverse lockout for hydraulic surge brakes Thank you in advance.

If your 2017 Audi Q7 did not come with the factory tow package which if I had to guess would be the case since you are looking for a trailer connector then there are no custom fit trailer wiring harness adapters available. That said, I do still have a splice free option in the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 119250KIT which uses clamp-on sensors. The ZCI Harness only has a 4-way output but you can adapt this to a 5-way with the part # 20036 or to a 7-way with the part # 37185.

The Universal Wiring Harness w/ ModuLite and Brake Controller Harness part 22550 would not work since it is not compatible with system that use pulse width modulation (PWM) like the Audi Q7
