Question:
Greetings, I have a 2014 Audi Q5 with a 13pin Euro connection. I would like to connect US trailers to it. Ideally I would like a vehicle mounted 7pin RV and 4pin flat combination. I have looked at using a 13 to 7 pin converter then 7 to RV. However I’m not confident daisy chaining converters is a good idea. I found your suggestion for 13pin to 4pin but cannot find anything on 13pin to 7Pin RV. Do do have a recommendation?

I do have an option for you but there isn't any sort of adapter that will go from a Euro 13 Pin to a US 7 Blade. Therefore, in order to tow trailers with US 7 blade or 4 pin connectors you will need to convert the trailer wiring harness on the vehicle from EURO to US spec. In order to do this you will need to remove the old trailer connector, wire in a converter, and then install a new trailer connector socket. For this, the Roadmaster Brite-Lite Wiring Converter part # RM-732 and the 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets w/ Mounting Bracket part # HM40975-11998 would give you what you need.
In regard to installation, you will need match wires based on function by testing with a test light or obtaining the factory wiring schematics.
