on the curt class 111 receiver, does spare tire fit alright after installation. I have a 1999 ford ranger.

No the curt is a great fit. Your spare tire will fit right back in its original position after installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III part # 13138 . I have included a photo of it installed for you to reference hoe it fit with the spare.
If you plan on pulling a trailer and don't have wiring yet the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118325 is designed to work with your Ranger and doesn't require you to cut or splice any of your factory wiring. It simply plugs into your factory connectors.
