Installation of Tow Bar Wiring and Even Brake System for Flat Towing 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Is there anything else i need or a problem if I have a factory harness no diodes that operate the brake lights and when the even brake operates the brake peddle on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler.

When installing the Roadmaster Even Brake System, part # RM-9400, on your 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited you will need the Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit, part # RM-9332. This part will connect to your towed vehicle and supply the power for the Even Brake system.
For lighting on your 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, you can wire your vehicle using Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit, part # RM-154. Another option would be to use Magnetic Towing Light Kit, part # RM-2120, which are lights that attach to your vehicle using magnets.
If you are going to be towing your Jeep Wrangler often I would recommend using # RM-154, as you would just plug in your vehicle after the initial install. The diodes are used to protect both the motor home and the Wrangler by preventing feedback. I am including a video link of this wiring kit being installed on a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The vehicle is different, but the wiring principle is the same.
There is a system available for your 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that does not require installing diodes and splicing into the vehicle tail light wiring. The Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs, part # RM-155, installs separate from the towed vehicle wiring and provides stop, turn and tail light functions.
You will need to drill a 1-inch hole behind the red lenses on your vehicle to install this kit. Many people choose this option for ease of installation and to eliminate any warranty issues with the vehicles electrical system.
